Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our team in Memphis, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in driving informed business decisions. Responsibilities: • Perform month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Analyze accounts to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively. • Reconcile bank statements to maintain accuracy and transparency in financial records. • Prepare and manage sales and use tax filings in compliance with regulations. • Conduct variance analysis to assess financial performance and identify trends. • Utilize advanced Excel skills to create reports, models, and forecasts. • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support. • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency. • Ensure compliance with all financial policies and standards. • Support audits and provide necessary documentation as required. Requirements • Proven experience in financial analysis or a related role. • Proficiency in month-end close procedures and account analysis. • Strong skills in bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. • Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations and filing processes. • Ability to conduct variance analysis to interpret financial data. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Strong communication abilities to collaborate across teams.
