TalentWorld is currently seeking an analytical and technical proficient Financial Analyst to join our client’s team in Toronto, ON. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about financial planning, system optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Financial Analyst Job Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of financial statement budgeting in support of the Annual Financial Plan. Manage and maintain productive relationships with business partners, offering technical support and training to budget managers across departments. Remain current on accounting standards and corporate policies related to financial planning. Administer, implement, and optimize Oracle systems including Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Oracle Project Accounting—applying technical skills in VBA, SQL, JavaScript, and Syntax. Improve and maintain financial systems and applications, acting as front-end contributor and back-end administrator. Monitor and manage capital and operational expense tracking for regular and ad hoc reporting. Conduct complex financial analysis and create cost-benefit analyses to inform business decisions. Prepare financial models and test scenarios to support forecasting and planning improvements. Recognize key financial and operational drivers and incorporate these into planning and forecasting models. Support the adoption and implementation of new financial software and system updates. Financial Analyst Job Qualifications: Prior 3+ years of experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis—ideally in a retail or merchandising environment. Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CFA, MBA (or in progress) is considered an asset. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the full MS Office Suite; experience with VBA is an asset. Hands-on experience with Hyperion Planning, Essbase, and Oracle Financial systems; exposure to SAP is a plus. Strong technical and analytical skills, with working knowledge of SQL, Power BI (or similar tools), and programming languages such as JavaScript or VBA. Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong business acumen with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a drive for continuous improvement. Employment Details: Pay Rate: $40 -$45 an hour.
