This Position reports to:

LD Controller, Service
 

As a Finance Analyst, you will provide financial and control expertise to support operations in Canada, benchmarking KPIs (Key Performance Indicators​) while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business. Provide reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budget and forecasts in order to support ABB Group management and other stakeholders at various organization levels in decision making processes.


The work model for the role is hybrid, with 2 days per week at our office located in Saint-Laurent.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Service Division in Canada


You will be mainly accountable for:

Analyze business performance against budgets and forecasts, and recommend improvement actions.Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements, maintaining accurate documentation for audits.Support month-end close activities including account analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, SOX controls, and variance reporting for management.Review and accurately classify income and expenditures in line with company accounting policies and procedures.Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and business presentations.Support operations to analyze order revenue, costs, and gross margin, comparing planned versus actual costs to identify variances and insights.Improve efficiency and productivity by developing automated solutions, reducing duplication, and streamlining data coordination.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Administration or related.3-5 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst role.Financial acumen, experience with problem solving and critical thinking.Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including SAP, Oracle or related financial systems.Knowledge of SAP is required, Power BI is an asset.Microsoft Office experience (intermediate/advance experience in excel)Attention to detail, accountability, and ability to multitask.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
