Position Summary
The Financial Analyst supports the operations of the Treasury and Finance departments with an emphasis on cash forecasting and Net Working Capital. The position requires the retrieval and analysis of information from multiple sources to evaluate existing processes, policies and reporting to make recommendations for improvement.
Pay Range: $80000 - $95000 / year
This position is Hybrid in NYC or possibly remote for outside locations
Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties
• Maintain cash schedules including available balances, weekly disbursement requirements and weekly receipts forecasting
• Coordinate and consolidate monthly cash forecasting
• Review and analyze AP payment data to ensure compliance with company standard payment terms
• Review and analyze AR collections data to monitor average collection days, identify problem accounts and improve collection process
• Coordinates with FP&A department for reporting needs as they relate to cash, capital expenditures, investments and debt
• Supporting risk management activities by providing data for insurance coverage
• Supporting the financing and borrowing activities by compiling and analyzing related data
• Assisting and serving as backup for cash application activities
• Interact with banks and provide support for reporting requirements
• Provide ad-hoc analysis when needed
General/Other Responsibilities and Duties
• Supporting the business operations in all matters relating to Treasury, finance and working capital management
• Creation of periodic reporting required by senior management as it relates to Treasury
• Distribution and coordination of Treasury related information for the budgeting and planning process
Required Skills and Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in finance or accounting
• 0 to 2 years’ experience in finance related to the construction industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (VLookups, Pivot Tables, IF statements, etc.)
• Ability to develop strong professional relationships
• Exceptional communication skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
