Job Description

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the supply of raw materials, particularly focusing on active and inactive cosmetic ingredients. This role requires a strong background in chemical purchasing and financial analysis to ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality-driven procurement aligned with production schedules and financial forecasts.

ResponsibilitiesSource and procure raw materials, chemicals, and ingredients used in the formulation of cosmetic and skincare products.Establish and maintain relationships with domestic and international chemical suppliers and distributors.Evaluate and negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, and contracts to optimize purchasing strategies.Monitor commodity pricing trends and their financial impact on the business.Ensure supply continuity while optimizing inventory levels based on production forecasts.Collaborate with the finance and production departments to ensure accurate cost projections and budgeting.Maintain an organized database of vendor information, specifications, pricing, and purchase history.Assist in internal audits and regulatory compliance related to material sourcing (e.g., GMP, FDA).Analyze purchasing KPIs, price variances, and cost savings opportunities.Manage purchase orders, delivery confirmations, and receipts within ERP or MRP systems.Essential SkillsChemical Purchasing experience and financial analysis skills are MUST HAVEProcurement experience with strong negotiation and communication skills.Solid understanding of accounting, finance, financial reporting, and variance analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, Business, Finance, or a related field.3–5 years of experience in purchasing, with a preference for chemical or cosmetic industryStrong financial acumen with the ability to assess and report on cost structures, trends, and purchase margins.Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems such as FishBowl, NetSuite, SAP.Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to raw material sourcing.Work EnvironmentThis role is based onsite within a manufacturing company, in an office setting.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
