The Financial Analyst 5 is a recognized thought leader responsible for setting the strategic direction for expense and/or revenue financial planning and analysis for the assigned business unit or function. This role defines and implements innovative financial strategies to enhance organizational profitability, drive organizational growth, leads large-scale transformation projects and is recognized as a financial expert, driving function-wide financial strategy. The Financial Analyst 5 influences key decisions through data-driven insights and recommendations and may lead cross-functional teams (team lead) to achieve strategic financial objectives. This role exercises expert judgment and business acumen to work on and resolve highly complex issues that impact the success of critical projects, valuable relationships, and key business processes.
This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills to provide expert financial counsel and guidance.
Drive Strategic Partnership: Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to enhance business impact beyond standard financial reporting. Act as a strategic financial advisor to leadership, providing data-driven insights to inform critical decisions.
Executive-Level Engagement: Confidently lead and contribute to meetings with executive leadership, fostering thought-provoking dialogue, and offering insightful recommendations on opportunities and risks.
Agile Financial Management: Lead agile financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling to support a dynamic, high-investment environment. You will continuously re-evaluate engineering headcount, resource allocation, and optimize our GPU hardware access strategy with various cloud partners.
Business & Technology Acumen: Develop a deep understanding of our AI product portfolio, including the underlying technology (such as RHEL AI), market fit, and strategic goals.
M&A and Market Analysis: Play a potential role in the due diligence process for strategic mergers and acquisitions within the AI landscape. Conduct financial modeling, business case development, and budget impact assessments. Perform periodic market research and industry benchmarking to ensure our competitive positioning.
Clear & Concise Communication: Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
AI Adoption: Drive AI methodologies to enhance financial decision-making processes, demonstrating deep expertise in AI analytics, risk management, and strategic financial modeling.

Represent the company as a financial expert at industry events and conferences, sharing best practices and contributing to the company's external reputation. This requires public speaking skills and deep subject matter expertise.
Stay abreast of emerging financial trends and technologies, leveraging new tools and techniques to enhance financial processes and decision-making. This involves continuous learning and a commitment to staying ahead of the curve in the field of finance.

Develop and deliver executive-level presentations on complex financial topics.
Develop and implement innovative financial strategies to drive organizational growth and profitability.
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve strategic financial objectives.
Set the strategic direction for process improvement and automation within the function. Oversee associates or cross-functional teams responsible.
Provide strategic direction and guidance on headcount allocation and compensation strategies. Develop and implement policies and guidelines for workforce planning and cost optimization. Partner with senior HR leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Present high-level workforce planning reports and recommendations to executive leadership
Champion initiatives to improve collaboration and communication across the organization. Represent the finance function in cross-functional leadership meetings and discussions.
Spearhead enterprise-wide initiatives to integrate AI solutions that transform financial analysis and strategic planning processes in response to market dynamics.
Champion innovation in financial strategies by employing machine learning and predictive analytics to optimize resource allocation and financial performance.

Analytics & Automation: Leads the adoption and implementation of advanced technologies and automation tools to drive efficiency and innovation within the finance function. Serves as a thought leader on data analytics and digital transformation.
AI: Leadership in the application of AI methodologies to enhance financial decision-making processes, demonstrating deep expertise in AI analytics, risk management, and strategic financial modeling.
Change Agility: Develops and implements strategies for managing organizational change within the finance function. Effectively leads and mentors teams through periods of significant transformation
The salary range for this position is $120,720.00 - $199,120.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
