JOB DESCRIPTION A Financial Analyst is a professional who advises companies and teams on financial matters, including investment decisions in stocks and bonds 10 + years experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Consolidating and Analyzing Financial Data: Financial Analysts gather and consolidate financial data, including budgets, income statement forecasts, and other relevant information. They meticulously analyze this data, taking into account the company’s goals and financial standing. Providing Creative Alternatives and Recommendations: These analysts offer creative alternatives to reduce costs and improve financial performance. They provide recommendations based on their analysis to maximize financial efficiency. Structuring Sophisticated Reports: Financial Analysts assemble and summarize data to create sophisticated reports on financial status and risks. These reports aid decision-makers in understanding the company’s financial health. Developing Financial Models and Conducting Benchmarking: They create financial models to forecast business outcomes and profits. Additionally, they conduct benchmarking and process analysis to identify areas for improvement. Business Studies and Forecast Models: Financial Analysts perform business studies on past, future, and comparative performance. They develop forecast models to guide decision-making. Advising Senior Financial Analysts and Tracking Financial Status: Based on sound analysis, they advise senior financial analysts and recommend actions. They also track and determine financial status by comparing actual results with forecasts. Consulting with Management and Driving Process Improvement: These analysts consult with management to influence long-term and strategic decision-making. They drive process improvement initiatives that impact the function.
REQUIREMENTS and SKILLS Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst. Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications. Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages. Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills. Knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis.
EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 10+ years of experience in Experience in financial planning, financial modeling and analysis, and budgeting. Proven working experience as a Finance Analyst. Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software application Knowledge of financial forecasting, corporate finance, and information analysis. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written interactions
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Gather and consolidate financial data, including budgets, income statement forecasts, and other relevant information. Analyze data using management identified metrics to drive financial accountability. Offer creative alternatives to reduce costs and improve financial performance. Provide recommendations based on analysis to maximize financial efficiency. Provide sophisticated reports on financial status and risks. Create financial models to forecast business outcomes and profits. Provide insight on process improvements and identify areas of risk. Assist with business case preparation and business modeling. Perform analysis on mature, new, and proposed offerings. Provide comparative analysis based on actuals, trends, and changing economic factors. Develop forecast models to guide decision making. Track and determine financial status by comparing actual results with forecasts. Consult with management to influence long-term and strategic decision-making. Drive process improvement initiatives that impact the function. Use KPIs for reporting and analyzing projected results Hands-on experience with statistical analysis and statistical packages.
