Financial Analysis - Associate - Travel F&BM Connected Commerce
Chase Travel Finance is tasked with developing strategies to grow revenue and profitability of the 3rd largest leisure travel provider in the US. We are seeking a dynamic, high-performing Associate to build business cases, develop ideas for new initiatives, and help with budgeting and forecasting for our growing business. Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. As a Financial Analysis Associate in Chase Travel Finance, you will analyze, prepare, and reconcile accounting and technical data as well as prepare reports, while always thinking of and devising ways to streamline and minimize cycle times through automated applications and process improvement. You will also help develop recommendations effecting business procedures and operations and maintain financial and reporting systems. In addition, you will assist the department and other team members with special projects or components of other projects as needed. **Job responsibilities** + Develop new strategies to grow the business and developing the supporting business cases + Create consultant-quality presentations to communicate financial insights and strategic recommendations to upper management and key stakeholders. + Conduct Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends by conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning and identify new growth opportunities. + Perform Financial Analysis & Reporting: Utilize your expertise in Excel to conduct in-depth financial analyses, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. + Be responsible for Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and present compelling business cases that drive revenue growth and enhance profitability in the air and hotel sectors + Develop Revenue Growth Initiatives: Partner with business leaders to identify and implement innovative strategies that maximize revenue opportunities and optimize financial performance. + Perform Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends by conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning and identify new growth opportunities. + Work collaboratively with diverse teams across the organization, demonstrating leadership and influencing skills to drive successful outcomes. **Required qualifications, capabilities and skills** + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature + 2+ years of work experience in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background + Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint + Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets + Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers + Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly + Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management + Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments, often with little lead time or information + Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines + Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams + Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skill, strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
