General Summary:
Serves as a member of the Financial Aid departmental staff. This position involves a high degree of contact with student/parent customers via phone, email and direct personal counseling. Report to senior staff in the department.
Responsibilities:
+ Front desk, telephone, and email contact with students.
+ Must be able to answer a variety of questions, be knowledgeable of financial aid processes and procedures, including analysis of student records, and enlist appropriate office/personnel as necessary for resolution.
+ Utilize computer software as an assisting tool for analysis and information. Maintenance of confidentiality is required.
+ Communication and processing/copying/faxing of necessary forms.

Necessary Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database management programs.
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
+ Customer service and organizational skills.
+ Oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree
+ Three (3) years of direct customer service with clerical/technical experience
+ Proficiency with MS, Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel) Email.
+ Ability to multi-task and be a team player
