AMD together we advance_ THE ROLE: Join AMD's Global Credit Operations team as an intern and immerse yourself in the dynamic world of finance. This team is pivotal in managing the end-to-end cash and credit collection activities, working closely with Corporate Treasury, Global Sales Finance, Regional Finance, and Sales teams. As an intern, you'll gain hands-on experience and professional growth opportunities while contributing to AMD's business expansion. You'll be part of a supportive and innovative environment, interacting with various departments and learning from industry leaders. This internship is ideal for someone eager to learn and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced setting. THE PERSON: Assertive, creative and self-motivated with good interpersonal skills Resourceful, analytical, logical and detail-oriented. Focusing on delivering a positive customer experience A team player who can work independently and adapt to changing business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform various collection activities to monitor past due and delinquent accounts Support the assessment of customer creditworthiness and recommend credit limits. Maintain credit control operational process and ensure that controls are in compliance with SOX, internal and external audit requirements Able to discern the root cause of problematic accounts and provide resolutions Minimize the risk of bad debts and mitigate Company’s Credit Risk Involvement in reporting and analysis for strategic management decisions. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with data analysis. Effective communication skills with good spoken and written English (Chinese language is an added advantage). Basic knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA and other ERP systems is a plus. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Currently enrolled in a degree program in Accounting or Finance. Interest in pursuing professional accounting qualifications is a plus.
