Salary: $3,657.34 - $5,197.51 per month commensurate with experience. Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for recording activity related to the System's pooled cash and investments using software to track each System member's balance and update these balances for bank transactions, equity transfers and income distributions, distribute fund ledger activity reports and analyze cash and investment balances. The position will also assist with the annual financial report preparation process including updating workpapers, preparing for the annual financial reporting workshop, performing desk reviews and assisting with the preparation of System Office annual financial report. Responsibilities: - Record daily activity for the System Cash Concentration Pool, including generate bank reports, coordinate with Treasury Services to record investment transactions, and process equity transfers, also post monthly investment income, quarterly endowment income, and monthly reallocation entries in the investment reporting software and distribute monthly fund ledger reports, prepare FAMIS entries to record daily pooled cash activity related to System Office accounts.- Process monthly entries to adjust System member Cash Concentration Pool balances for payroll and benefits paid centrally by System Office or expenses charged between System members and analyze related clearing account balances monthly.- Review monthly transparency reports and post to System Office website quarterly.- Prepare year-end due to/from, pass-through and transfer confirmations and assist in reviewing System member annual financial reports.- Complete THECB sources & uses templates and review completed sources & uses templates submitted by members.- Assist in preparing for the annual financial reporting workshop and updating year-end workpapers provided to System members to submit with their annual financial report package, including pass-through, due to/from and transfers template, statement of cash flows and other supplemental workpapers.- Attend and participate in meetings, conferences and training sessions with management and staff members. Work with and assist other team members by sharing information, presenting ideas and concerns, and asking questions.- Assist in the preparation of System Office annual financial report, including Statement of Cash Flows.- Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Two years in an accounting related field. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:- Verbal and written communication skills. - Customer service skills. - Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
