As an Senior Accountant, you will play a key role to support Abbott Diabetes Care Irish Third-Party Manufacturing (TPM) operations. You will be reporting to the TPM Controller and should be able to understand and apply complex concepts, identify risks, propose recommendations and solutions to issues. **Main Responsibilities:** + Ensure accounting practices are in compliance with Abbott Policy + Ensure month end reporting is carried out efficiently and as timely as possible. + Provide financial support to other departments to assist in goal achievements. + Assist in preparing LBE’s and long range plans + Ownership of standard cost setting processes + Entity Accounting & Quarterly CSO submissions + Prepare performance statements and conduct variance analysis + Any other finance work as required by the Pant Controller **EDUCATION AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED** + Minimum 5 years of accounting / financial planning and analysis experience, with manufacturing / costing background preferred; + BS in Accounting / Finance required; + Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems. + Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting. + Third level relevant qualification and Accountancy qualification with ACA, ACCA, or CIMA designation. + Knowledge of ERP systems and a high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint applications. SAP experience is ideal + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively interact with Senior Leadership.
