We are an organisation of 2,000 employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, ‘conviviality’ and collaboration in mind. We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.

Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. The Finance department is responsible for the organisation of the Company’s financial and accounting affairs including the preparation and presentation of business accounts and the provision of financial information for managers.  It’s aims include:

Business Insight – Give timely and relevant insight, provide opportunity and risk identification, offer return on investment optimisation and commercial negotiation support.Profit and Cash Management - Set and monitor delivery of stretch targets and manage financial flow to meet Pernod Ricard Group expectations.

Robust and User-Friendly Control Environment – Provide a professional framework for customer and supplier commitments, along with asset protection and financial accounts integrity and tax/regulatory compliance.

Your unique contribution

You will have six main areas of responsibility:

1.General Ledger and Financial Accounting

You will play a vital role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting business performance and transformation across the organisation. Your core responsibilities include managing the month-end close process by working day 3, posting journals, reconciling key balance sheet accounts, and producing the monthly trial balance. You will also oversee the Inter-affiliates recharge spreadsheet, tracking cost recharges with Chivas and Duty-Free markets, and act as the key liaison for year-end reporting and external audits. In addition, you will handle VAT reconciliations and submissions, Excise Duty reporting, and ensure full compliance with statutory reporting such as P11D and PSA. Monthly group financial reporting will be submitted via Polaris (Tagetik), and you will support the implementation of systems and processes that improve financial efficiency.

2.Overheads Reporting, Analysis and Business Partnership

A critical part of your contribution involves the monthly review and analysis of overheads. You will partner with cost centre heads to proactively identify risks and opportunities, provide meaningful commentary on variances, and challenge underlying assumptions where appropriate. Your role will support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles, helping ensure spending is aligned with strategic business goals. In addition to regular reporting, you will act as a finance business partner to drive cost control, improve financial awareness across functions, and support impactful financial projects both locally and in collaboration with HQ.

3.Group Reporting – Tagetik (Polaris) Submission

You will support Group financial reporting through Tagetik, the Group’s consolidation and reporting system. This includes ensuring the accurate and timely submission of overhead (OPEX) and other non-branded P&L lines, in line with Group reporting structures and timelines. You will help maintain consistency across actuals, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring integrity in cost allocations and alignment with Group expectations. Your contribution will support Group-level consolidation and provide meaningful insights to internal stakeholders.

4. Cash Management Support

You will contribute to effective cash flow management by supporting the review and validation of scheduled payment runs, including conducting BACS file checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to cut-off requirements. This helps ensure timely and well-controlled payment processing. You will also monitor working capital movements, such as the timing of payables and receivables, to support short-term liquidity awareness.

In addition, you will assist in the cash forecasting process by providing relevant data and insight on payment schedules and working capital activity. Your input will help improve the accuracy and reliability of both weekly and monthly forecasts, supporting overall financial planning and day-to-day funding decisions.

5. Internal Control and Compliance

In maintaining a strong control environment, you will manage the balance sheet reconciliation process and the integrity framework within JD Edwards. You will ensure reconciliations are completed to a high standard, process documentation is regularly updated, and all internal controls are adhered to. As the main point of contact for internal and external auditors, you will coordinate walkthroughs and address any control queries, helping to uphold financial integrity and operational excellence.

6. Other

You will be required to provide cover to the wider financial accounting team when needed and also be actively involved in the Group project within transformation framework & internal project when required.

Who you’ll be working with

Internally you’ll work with Finance, cost centre heads (for overheads), Chivas Brothers International and Duty free, the Operations team and the QX Team based in India.

Your blend of talent

This position could be right for you if you:

Are part qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA in a financial accounting role with experience in general ledger, balance sheet and the relevant tax skills (e.g. VAT returns, p11d)Have experience in using ERPs (e.g. running queries, posting journals, posting batches, closing ledgers), ideally Oracle JD Edwards and SAP.Have solid Excel Skills (not necessarily macros, but ability to work through large and complex spreadsheets. Application of advanced formula to standardise and increase robustness of files, e.g. vlookup, sumifs, Index/match, pivot tables).
