Financial Accountant
Location: Perth
Contract Length: 6 months*

Rate: $700–$800/day incl. super (DOE)

Our finance team is currently working through a reporting backlog, and we're seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join us on a 6-month contract.

We’re looking for a strong technical accountant, ideally with prior oil & gas industry experience, to help drive reporting deliverables forward and support compliance and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS

Statutory Reporting: Deliver statutory accounts for Australian legal entities; ensure compliance with corporate and financial regulations

Audit Coordination: Lead external audit processes, manage timelines, and resolve technical accounting issues

Technical Accounting: Ensure accurate accounting treatment for complex transactions in line with applicable standards

Financial Accounting: Complete quarterly balance sheet reconciliations

Month-End Review: Support review of journal entries and financial close activities

Requirements:

Proven experience in financial and statutory reporting

Strong technical accounting skills with up-to-date knowledge of AASB and IFRS

Experience coordinating external audits

Prior experience in the oil & gas or energy sector strongly preferred

CA/CPA qualified or equivalent

Offer:

Competitive daily rate: $700–$800 incl. super

6-month contract with potential to extend
