Description We are looking for a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Livonia, Michigan. In this role, you will handle key accounting tasks, including data analysis and financial reporting, while collaborating closely with a dynamic and supportive team environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and analyze financial data to create clear and visually appealing reports using advanced Excel techniques. • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies. • Assist in maintaining financial records for non-profit accounting purposes. • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency. • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements. • Utilize Excel formulas and functions to process and present data effectively. • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities to support organizational goals. • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards. • Provide input and recommendations for improving overall accounting practices. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. • At least 1 year of accounting experience, including internships. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in creating formulas and managing data. • Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is preferred. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Ability to reconcile accounts and manage financial data accurately. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members. • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote-friendly environment.
