Description We’re looking for a Financial Accountant with a passion for commercial construction to join our growing team in Ankeny, IA. In this role, you'll work directly with Project Managers and the accounting team to ensure the financial side of our commercial portfolio runs smoothly and accurately. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly impact the success of active projects. While the primary focus is on commercial work, we're a multi-entity company, so flexibility and a collaborative mindset are key. Key Responsibilities: + Manage commercial project invoices and monthly pay applications using Sage 100 Contractor and Procore + Reconcile bank statements and review accounts to maintain financial accuracy + Prepare and issue financial statements, conduct variance analysis, and support project-level financial reporting + Track project budgets, forecasts, and control costs + Reconcile commercial credit card transactions and monitor vendor compliance (lien waivers, etc.) + Support draw preparation and receivables tracking + Collaborate with Project Managers for timely financial updates + Assist with audits by compiling documentation and reports + Maintain organized accounting records, manage fixed assets, and ensure regulatory compliance + Handle AP, including invoice payments and draw schedules + Provide administrative and clerical support as needed This company offers a laid-back work environment, where it feels like your coworkers are family!
