Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Finance/Tax Intern I to assist the finance team. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented tax professional to make a significant impact on our organization's tax efficiency and compliance.
This position will be primarily remote and can be based from a variety of US locations
This position is expected to begin in Summer 2025.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot indirect tax issuesProvide support for all indirect tax auditsSpecial projects as assignedDemonstrate an ability to work collaboratively to solve complex problems within a team environmentInternships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of studyQualificationsMinimum Requirements:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Tax or related major with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.Must have completed 1 year of studyPreferred Qualifications:
General level of financial knowledge and familiarityMicrosoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook), as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.Detailed oriented with the ability to prioritize work, navigate ambiguity, and meet quick turn-around deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated expertise in tax research methodology and interpretation of tax lawsExperience working with various Indirect Tax Research Tools (Avalara/TTR, RIA Checkpoint, Bloomberg)Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent prioritiesAdditional InformationThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the futureRelocation assistance and/or per diem is not offered for this positionAbout AECOM
