We are looking for a Senior SAP S/4HANA Financials Project Manager with deep expertise in leading large-scale finance transformation programs within energy or asset-intensive industries. The consultant will drive the S/4HANA Finance program for Siemens Energy, ensuring it supports project-based business models, long-term service agreements, and complex regulatory/compliance frameworks typical of the global energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: Lead Customer’s Charlotte plant S/4HANA Finance transformation to harmonize financial processes across multiple business units in manufacturing (large generators).

Financial Module Focus: Oversee design, deployment, and integration of S/4HANA Finance modules, including:FI (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting)CO (Controlling: Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing)Group Reporting and ConsolidationFinancial Closing Ensure SAP Finance solutions are optimized for project-based accounting, capital project costing, and revenue recognition aligned with IFRS standards.Integration Oversight: Manage finance integration with Project Systems (PS), Materials Management (MM), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Asset Management, ensuring end-to-end visibility of capital projects and service contracts.Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with global finance teams, controllers, and project managers to ensure financial transparency and compliance across regions.Change & Adoption: Drive organizational change and user adoption in a matrixed, international environment, ensuring readiness across finance and operations.

Pay range: $67K - $85K 

Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.

Work Experience

Qualifications & Experience

7+ years of SAP experience, with 5+ years in SAP project management leadership roles.Proven record in delivering SAP S/4HANA Finance programs for global, asset-intensive enterprises (e.g. energy, utilities, oil & gas, or heavy engineering).Deep expertise across core S/4HANA Finance modules: FICO, , Group Reporting, Strong understanding of project accounting, capital asset management, intercompany processes, and service-based business models.Experience with multi-country, multi-entity rollouts and finance harmonization programs.Track record of engaging CFO-level stakeholders in complex, regulated industries.SAP Activate methodology, PMP, or Prince2 certification is a plus.Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Fluent in English; German of advantage
