Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support the implementation of Oracle ERP at our Grand Rapids manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with hands-on experience in ERP systems, particularly Oracle. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of Oracle ERP into our financial processes, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
ERP Implementation Support: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of the Oracle ERP implementation project. Collaborate with IT and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of financial modules. Participate in system configuration, testing, and validation processes. Financial Data Management: Ensure accurate migration of financial data from legacy systems to Oracle ERP. Validate and reconcile financial data post-migration to ensure integrity and accuracy. Develop and maintain documentation for financial processes and procedures within Oracle ERP. Training and Support: Provide training and support to finance team members on Oracle ERP functionalities. Develop user manuals and training materials for end-users. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to financial modules in Oracle ERP. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the finance department. Implement best practices for financial reporting and analysis using Oracle ERP. Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and analyze financial reports using Oracle ERP. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems, including implementation and support. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Preferred Skills:
Experience with other ERP systems and their integration. Knowledge of manufacturing industry practices and standards. Project management experience or certification. Familiarity with SQL and data analysis tools.Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $67,200-88,800
