Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Finance Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to Provides direction and management for all phases of one or more accounting functions (payroll, billing, accounts receivable/payable, etc.).
What You'll Be Doing:
Establishes and maintains accounting policies and procedures in accordance with accepted accounting practicesEnsures compliance with the Company's business ethics policy and all human resources policies. Provides training to subordinate supervisors in these policies as needed.Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as Company and project needs dictateReviews work produced by subordinates to ensure accuracy and timelinessMonitors staffing requirements and expenditures to ensure that they do not exceed budget constraintsRecruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees. Approves hires, offers personnel training and development, conducts performance evaluations, counsels employees and takes corrective action as required, and approves terminations. Ensures that new employees are appropriately oriented to Parsons policies and proceduresAnalyzes financial statements and statistics to develop projections and recommendations pertaining to cash flow, assets, and reserves. Prepares recurring or ad hoc reports for senior management.Ensures accurate and timely monthly/quarterly accounts closing and generation of associated reports.Keeps aware of current business climate and client requirements. May participate in proposal efforts.Establishes budgets, schedules, and plans for area of responsibility within the finance department.May complete special assignments for operations and division management.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
