The EV Propulsion Finance Manager will lead the financial strategy and operations for GM’s Electric Vehicle Propulsion systems. This role partners closely with Engineering, Planning, and procurement teams to drive profitability, optimize resource allocation, and support key decision-making. Reporting to the Propulsion Finance Director, the manager will provide impactful analysis, develop business cases, and champion performance metrics that align with GM’s strategic priorities.
The Role:

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
Lead financial planning and analysis for EV Propulsion systems, ensuring alignment with GM’s EV profitability goals
Evaluate business cases and cost-benefit analyses to support propulsion strategy decisions
Optimize Engineering and Capital resource utilization through data-driven insights.
Provide financial guidance on portfolio prioritization and long-term planning
Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Program Management, Purchasing, and Engineering teams
Deliver performance metrics and KPIs aligned with corporate strategy
Translate evolving strategies into clear actions and priorities for the team
Foster a high-performance, inclusive team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
Develop team capabilities through coaching, stretch assignments, and leadership exposure
Role model GM values and leadership behaviors

This position requires the ability to legally operate a motor vehicle on a regular basis. A company vehicle will be provided for this role with successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Report review

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or related field
5+ years of corporate finance or related
Proven ability to influence cross-functionally through data and strategic insight
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; comfortable with ambiguity
Effective communicator with a collaborative and customer-focused mindset
Demonstrated leadership with a passion for talent development and inclusive culture building
2-3 years of direct people leader experience
Experience with Business case development
