We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to partner with our Compliance marketplace team, which has the vision to enable selling partners to make their selection available to customers by developing de-risking mechanisms and scaling dedicated seller services. The role will be part of the EU 3P Finance organization. You will collaborate closely with finance and business stakeholders in Luxembourg, in the main European markets (UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain) and in our global HQ in Seattle with a focus on understanding and influencing the business and financial performance of EU 3P Compliance team.
Key job responsibilities
• Support the business team in designing compliance products that serve our vision of making compliance a competitive advantage for Amazon.
• Closely collaborate with business partners to develop models to assess the impact of new legislation on sellers and on Amazon’s financials.
• Build tools to track impact of tax/product & sustainability legislation on Amazon business.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior management.
• Support ad hoc analyses, review business cases, analyze performance versus goals and actively participate in projects to ensure we are taking the right decisions in our business.
• Proactively collaborate and consult with relevant business and finance teams across Europe and Worldwide to benchmark, to identify and to implement best practices.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance).
- Experience in multiple finance and accounting role.
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- Experience in building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
- Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits).
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems.(examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
