If you are a **Finance** professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Copeland has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our **Rayong, Thailand,** you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role will play a critical part in shaping financial strategy, identifying risks, and enhancing overall financial efficiency.
**AS A FINANCE MANAGER, YOU WILL:**
+ **Finance and Accounting Function** (70% of overall tasks)
+ General Ledger Management:
+ Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
+ Oversee month-end closing procedures and perform account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.
+ Revenue Assurance:
+ Manage billing, collections, and revenue recognition processes in alignment with GAAP to guarantee accurate revenue reporting.
+ Cash Flow & Dividend Management:
+ Estimate cash projections and dividend distributions.
+ Initiate necessary cash management transactions to maintain adequate liquidity.
+ Manage and mitigate foreign currency risk by monitoring exchange rate fluctuations and implementing strategies such as hedging, currency forward contracts, or natural hedging to protect the company's financial position.
+ Ensure that foreign currency exposures are effectively managed and that the company remains compliant with relevant financial regulations.
+ Forecasting & Working Capital Management:
+ Prepare and analyze total working capital forecasts, including DPO, DSO, and DTO metrics.
+ Compare actual performance against forecasts and budget for insightful analysis.
+ Financial Reporting & Consolidation:
+ Prepare monthly US financial statements package in Oracle Hyperion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
+ Generate corporate financial reports on a monthly and yearly basis for management and regulatory compliance.
+ Prepare and manage functional currency reporting, ensuring that financial statements accurately reflect the company's operational currency.
+ Translate and consolidate financial data in accordance with applicable accounting standards (such as IFRS or GAAP), ensuring consistency and compliance in reporting across multiple currencies.
+ Expense & Budget Analysis:
+ Monitor and analyze actual expenses versus forecasted and budgeted amounts.
+ Focus on fixed costs at the main plant and total costs across the Scroll plant for comprehensive analysis.
+ Payment & Purchase Requisition Oversight:
+ Review all payments to ensure they align with financial policies and budget constraints.
+ Approve and review purchase requisitions, ensuring proper authorization and accuracy.
+ Cash Flow Monitoring:
+ Continuously monitor and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient working capital and liquidity for daily operations.
+ Implement strategies to optimize cash utilization.
+ Internal Controls & Compliance:
+ Design and establish necessary internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure operational efficiency.
+ Implement control activities to maintain integrity in financial processes.
+ External Audit Coordination:
+ Coordinate with external auditors to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, facilitating smooth audits.
+ Financial Systems Optimization:
+ Manage, optimize, and implement financial systems and tools to streamline reporting, financial operations, and decision-making processes.
+ Continuously evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of existing financial software and systems.
+ **Taxation** (20% of overall tasks)
+ Income Tax Returns & Compliance:
+ Prepare income tax returns, ensuring alignment with Board of Investment (BOI) incentives.
+ Review and validate sales VAT, withholding tax reports, and transactional tax reports across a multi-state environment, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
+ Tax Forecasting & Effective Tax Rate Analysis:
+ Forecast half-year tax return filings, while calculating and analyzing the effective tax rate to optimize tax liabilities.
+ Quarterly Tax Provision:
+ Prepare and submit the quarterly income tax provision questionnaire, ensuring accurate and timely reporting for financial statements.
+ Deferred Tax Assets & Liabilities:
+ Prepare reports and schedules related to deferred tax assets and liabilities, ensuring proper accounting in accordance with GAAP and tax regulations.
+ Transfer Pricing Documentation:
+ Compile data and prepare documentation for the Transfer Pricing Report to ensure compliance with international pricing standards and regulations.
+ Transfer Pricing Management Between Thailand & Hong Kong:
+ Oversee and manage transfer pricing between Thailand and Hong Kong, ensuring appropriate pricing strategies are followed and tax efficiency is optimized between the jurisdictions.
+ **People Management and Others** (10% of overall tasks)
+ Liaison for outside service providers, including auditors, tax accountants, insurance brokers, and other external constituents
+ Establish and update the board of directors and the company’s objectives and business purposes.
+ Interface with all levels of the organization, including remotely located personnel
+ Manage Staff Accountant who has accounting, office management, financial analysis, and other operational responsibilities
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:**
+ Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
+ Minimum 3-5 years in Accounting or Finance Manager roles
+ Experience in Accounting and Cost accounting qualification and management
+ Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like Oracle, SAP, and others, along with cloud computing, will be essential.
+ Ability to drive and adapt to digital changes in finance operations
+ Ability to integrate automation tools and artificial intelligence into financial processes, from invoice processing to predictive forecasting
+ Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as experience with Accounting software
+ Ability to manage high expectations / work under high pressure
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
+ Ability to work effectively with various levels of the organization
+ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and eager to learn new things
+ Legal authorization to work in Thailand – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
