This role offers you the chance to lead and nurture a talented group of accountants, playing a pivotal part in shaping the future of the finance function within a respected organisation. What you'll do:
As Finance Manager, you will play an integral role in guiding a skilled team through all facets of financial operations. You will be instrumental in supporting budgeting cycles, forecasting activities, and ensuring robust controls are maintained throughout all accounting procedures. By mentoring your team members and championing their development, you will help create an environment where everyone can thrive. Your ability to communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external auditors will be essential in maintaining transparency and upholding best practices.
What you bring:
To excel as Finance Manager in this role, your background should include significant experience leading teams within finance functions—ideally within shared service centres or similar environments. Your technical proficiency will be underpinned by full accountancy qualifications (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), complemented by advanced Excel capabilities that enable you to manage complex reporting requirements. Familiarity with SAP ERP systems will allow you to quickly adapt to internal processes while your strong interpersonal skills will help you build trusted relationships across the organisation. Your approach should be collaborative and supportive; you’ll be expected to mentor colleagues at various stages of their careers while promoting best practice throughout the department. A keen eye for process improvement combined with an understanding of commercial drivers will ensure you add value beyond traditional accounting duties. If you are passionate about developing others as much as yourself—and thrive in environments where teamwork is valued—you’ll find this position both rewarding and fulfilling.
