What You'll Do
As Finance Manager, you will lead a team of finance analysts, ensuring the delivery of accurate financial reporting, timely client billing, and actionable insights that drive commercial success. You will take full ownership of the revenue pipeline forecast, with accountability for analysing and managing variances in monthly and annual financial projections.
Beyond team leadership, you will also act as a finance partner to designated Practice Areas (PAs), overseeing critical elements of project accounting and financial operations. This includes responsibility for revenue recognition, Work in Progress (WIP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
You will with in close collaboration with senior consulting teams, Partners, and Finance leadership to ensure that all financial processes associated with client engagements are executed efficiently, align with firm policies, and support broader strategic objectives.
Revenue forecasting – Ownership for our pipeline reporting and accuracy. This includes weekly review of all commercial projects and ensuring the team have accurate revenue forecasts; accurate assessment of WIP; involvement in all value based pricing models and large client fee arrangementsTrusted Advisor: Serve as the primary point of contact to the Partnership for all project accounting matters for your PA and clients, advising on contract administration, pricing, and compreheensive WIP management (including invoicing and collectionTeam Leadership: Lead and develop a team of finance analysts, providing direction, coaching, and oversight to ensure high-quality outputs across project reporting, invoicing, and analysisProject (Revenue) Accounting Oversight: Manage day-to-day project (Revenue) accounting operations for assigned Practice Areas, including WIP tracking, billing schedules, and AR monitoring, ensuring timeliness and accuracyStakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact for project teams and support staff on billing, contract terms, and financial compliance, while escalating strategic issues to senior finance leadershipRevenue & Cost Reporting: Oversee the preparation of monthly revenue and cost reports, including detailed client-level analysis and support for revenue provisioning and closeoutsInvoicing & Collections: Ensure timely and accurate invoice generation in line with contract terms. Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, working with client AP teams to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)Pricing & Margin Support: Guide analysts in supporting the pricing process by calculating standard pricing, tracking margin performance, and preparing models for partner review. Ensure adherence to discount approval policiesContract & Compliance Monitoring: Oversee financial compliance with client contracts, including acknowledgment tracking and preparation of compliance and statistical summariesProject Setup Coordination: Ensure efficient setup of new project codes in ClientView (our digital lead-to-cash platform), in coordination with project management and commercial teamsFinancial Analysis & Process Improvement: Support strategic initiatives through targeted analysis and continuously seek ways to improve financial processes, reporting tools, and team efficencyWhat You'll Bring
Minimum of 5 years post-CA/CPA qualification in finance or project accounting roles, with a demonstrated ability to deliver strategic financial insights in fast-paced environments. People management experience essentialDegree qualified in Accounting. CA/CPA certification is required or supported by equivalent work experienceProven experience working within professional services firms or large global corporation is highly desirableDemonstrated expertise in revenue accounting, Work in Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) managementStrong analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive pricing analysis, revene variance assessments, and financial forecasting.
