**Description:** **About the Role** Reporting to the General Manager, the Finance Manager plays a pivotal role within the hotel’s leadership team, driving the financial health and strategic growth of the property. You will manage all aspects of the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and payroll, while providing insightful analysis to support business decisions and operational excellence. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes with precision and timeliness. + Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and detailed variance analyses. + Ensure strict adherence to Hyatt brand standards, local accounting regulations, tax legislation, and internal control policies. + Oversee brand reporting requirements to maintain compliance and transparency. + Monitor cash flow and revenue performance, implementing effective cost control measures to protect financial stability. + Provide strategic financial insights and analysis to support operational decisions and long-term business planning. + Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team of two while managing relationships with auditors, suppliers, and key stakeholders. + Collaborate closely with department heads to promote financial accountability and alignment with overall business objectives. **Qualifications:** **About You** + Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. + CPA or CA certification is highly preferred. + Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior finance role, ideally within hospitality or a comparable service industry. + Proficient in financial systems, payroll, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. + Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and time management. + Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across all departments and levels. + Passionate about process improvement, innovation, and driving financial performance. + Full Australian working rights are required. **Primary Location:** AU-VI-Melbourne **Organization:** Hyatt Place Melbourne, Caribbean Park **Job Level:** Full-time **Job:** Accounting/Finance/Tax **Req ID:** MEL003291 Hyatt is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer.
