Key job responsibilities - Serve as a strategic finance partner directly supporting PXT leadership - Design and maintain comprehensive metrics, reports, and dashboards that drive critical business decisions - Lead core financial planning processes, including quarterly estimates, annual operating plan (OP1/OP2), and multi-year forecasts - Collaborate closely with senior business leaders and cross-functional finance teams - Conduct sophisticated cost-benefit analyses and communicate key financial drivers A day in the life Your day will be a dynamic blend of strategic analysis, collaborative problem-solving, and impactful storytelling. About the team We are a collaborative and innovative finance team at the heart of Amazon's People Experience and Technology organization. Our work goes beyond traditional financial reporting - we are strategic partners who provide the financial intelligence that helps leadership make informed decisions about our global workforce. We value intellectual curiosity, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex financial insights into clear, compelling narratives. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Preferred Qualifications - 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience - 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience - MBA, or CPA - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results - Experience communicating results to senior leadership Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
