Finance Manager, FR Accounting
Amazon's French accounting team is currently looking for a Finance Manager, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager to join for a permanent position in its team of 8 persons in charge of controllership of the French entities covering all activities of the Group in France and Belgium (retail, AWS, devices, etc.).

The candidate will need to have solid accounting skills, and be experienced with French GAAP as well as with US GAAP and/or IFRS.

This individual will be an exceptional professional, who consistently exceeds expectations, thrives in a challenging workplace environment, and can actively contribute to supporting our rapidly growing activity in France and Belgium.

In a fast-paced environment, he or she will be working cross-functionally and have regular interaction with other key finance and business partners in France, Belgium and globally.

Key job responsibilities
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for French and Belgian entities, ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and maintaining accuracy across complex multi-entity reporting
Conduct comprehensive analytical reviews of balance sheets and income statements in both US GAAP and local GAAP standards, identifying trends and providing actionable insights to support business decisions
Prepare statutory accounts and support tax compliance initiatives while analyzing complex accounting issues and developing technical position papers for French/Belgian GAAP and US GAAP applications
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain efficient processes and effective controls, actively participating in international improvement initiatives and process standardization efforts
Drive automation and process improvements by demonstrating strong understanding of financial accounting systems and collaborating closely with IT teams to implement best practices and streamline operations

A day in the life
You'll start your day reviewing month-end close progress across multiple French and Belgian entities, analyzing variance reports and coordinating with local teams to resolve discrepancies. Your afternoon might involve preparing technical accounting memos for complex transactions, collaborating with auditors on compliance matters, or working with IT teams to enhance automated reporting processes. You'll regularly engage with global finance partners, contributing to strategic initiatives while ensuring local regulatory requirements are met with precision and efficiency.
