The Finance Manager, FP&A, is responsible for leading financial support and business partnership with leadership teams in Facilities, IT, Human Resources, and other G&A functions, in assisting sound business decision making by providing insightful financial analysis, accurate financial reporting, and forecasting.

This position is part of the Global Finance team and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Drive and lead process with business leaders to develop functional and project financial forecasts, annual plan and long-range plans (including headcount, operating expenses and capex) in support of the strategic objectives for G&A business leaders.Evaluate results to plan/forecast, drive variance analysis and provide partnership to business leaders in Finance, Facilities, HR, IT/Business Transformation, Legal, and DBS to execute on plan; analyze historical, current, and projected financial data for use in planning, forecasting, and management decision making.Clearly and concisely present results and qualitative financial analysis at review meetings with Senior Management and report outs with functional business leaders.Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end FP&A close activities, including preparation of journal entries, variance research and analysis, reporting and forecast activities related to headcount, capital, and operating expenses.Monitor and report key operating metrics, business risks, and opportunities associated with the plan and forecast to the leadership team, consolidate total Cepheid capex spend and forecasts, and actively participate in cross-functional projects designed to solve business problems and improve profitability.

The essential requirements of the job include

Strong financial analysisBachelor’s degree with 8+ years of FP&A and/or related work experience OR Master’s degree in field with 6+ years of FP&A and/or related work experience.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Strong communication and partnership skills with ability to build and convey business insight.Experience in financial systems and strong excel skills – SAP and OneStream experience preferred.

The salary range for this role is . This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
