The Finance Manager, EPM Enterprise Planning will be a critical leader within the Finance Solutions & Technology team supporting a multi-year program initiative to deliver global planning process standardization, enhanced digital capabilities, and simplification with the objective of enabling an improved and optimal employee experience and ultimately the J&J Finance Way.
The Finance Manager is expected to lead a team of 1-3 Finance professionals and play a key leadership role on an extended core team of cross functional experts who will be accountable for driving the design/enhancement, build, testing, and deployment of standardized Planning & Forecasting capabilities to the Sectors.
This individual must leverage a refined, multi-functional toolset of business expertise, technical knowledge, and digital acumen to effectively interact with a breadth of business & project stakeholders. The successful candidate must be able to engage and operate with program teams at an execution level, as well as with senior leadership at a strategic level. The leader will need to develop strong business partnerships across key stakeholder groups, including but not limited to: Business Unit Experts (incl Integration Leads, SMEs, & FP&A), EPM Finance, Datahub Reporting, J&J Technology (JJT), Central Finance (CFIN), Data Design, Project Management, Change, Communication & Training (CC&T), Integration & Deployment Team, Digital Finance & Innovation Teams, & SigniFi Program Leadership Team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Play a key leadership role on an Enterprise EPM Squad comprised of a global team of cross functional experts, in the end-to-end design, build, testing, and deployment of standardized Planning & Forecasting capabilities for respective area.
+ Partner closely with key project team members to develop an integrated project plan (inclusive of objective, scope, timeline, resourcing, interdependencies, hand-offs, etc.). Ensure cross-program interdependencies, conflicts, and challenges are transparently communicated to leadership & proactively work with respective stakeholders to implement controls & risk mitigations to resolve issues and keep project on track.
+ Collaborate with key business stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of legacy processes and business requirements. Plan/execute fit-gap workshops & ongoing discussions with stakeholders in order to develop & document a comprehensive set of Integrated Business Requirements that will ensure the Enterprise standard Planning & Forecasting process/capabilities, will meet the needs of each Sector, driving value and efficiency in line with guiding principles.
+ Responsible for working closely with JJT to ensure Integrate Business Requirements are translated into technical specs for build phase and development is prioritized according to the project plan. Also, responsible for defining the testing strategy, inclusive of developing test use cases, writing test scripts, and partnering with SMEs to execute tests and document/remediate any issues.
+ Partner across the organization to drive global core business capability standardization, alignment, and adoption for the finance function. Ensure successful deployment through flawless project execution, including post go-live hypercare support.
+ Stay abreast of capacity led enhancements impacting respective models and ensure that enhancements are aligned with Squad designs and guiding principles and consider impacts to ongoing development work.
+ Develop and deliver program presentations for business stakeholders and senior-level program leadership.
+ Lead a high performing team of 1-3 Finance professionals.
**Qualifications:**
+ A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Finance or Accounting.
+ A minimum of 5 years of finance, accounting or related business experience is required.
+ Strong leadership skills to lead and manage a team with a defined area of responsibility is required.
+ Experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing FP&A technology solutions is preferred.
+ Change management skills and ability to work in ambiguous situations, including the ability to drive others to adapt to a changing environment is required.
+ Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, influencing skills and ability to develop strong relationships with executive leadership team members is required.
+ The ability to partner with, influence and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management is required.
+ Foundational project management skills are required.
+ Ability to work in ambiguous situations, proactively identifying and mitigating process risks within a cross-functional, global organization and effectively lead and govern decision-making bodies is required.
+ Innovative and continuous improvement mindset with the ability to translate a complex business operations landscape into a streamlined process design is preferred.
+ This role can be located in either New Brunswick, NJ or Wokingham United Kingdom.
+ The role may require 5%-10% domestic and/or international travel, based on employee’s home location.
The base pay range for this position is $100,000- $173,500

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
