Job Description
The Sales Forecasting Finance Lead will complete the creation of sales forecast for the new indications (VT, AA, HS, SLE) within the Immunology Franchise for RINVOQ. The position is responsible for developing accurate/timely projections of commercial product volumes for all Plan, LBE, LRP, Portfolio and Actual submissions. The individual builds and maintains knowledge of the business through close communication across a variety of cross-functional partners including executives, Marketing & Sales Management, Marketing Analytics and Commercial Finance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Manage and develop accurate product sales projections to be utilized in Plan, LBE, LRP and Portfolio submissions (including market and competitive landscape forecasts) for new indications to be approved for Rinvoq (e.g. Vitiligo, Alopecia Areata, HS, and SLE) – using sound analytical assumptions and effective communication of rationale/methodology with close collaboration and guidance from the Associate Director and Forecasting Director.Act as the primary liaison with PCS for seamless handoff and integration of their forecast into the Commercial Financial model.Manage and support month-end actual close process, including leading the preparation of Price, Pipeline, and Demand variance analyses, and delivering insightful Close commentary.Support the communication of the monthly actual sales results and future volume forecasts to Commercial VP’s and Finance Leadership, translating data into actionable business insights.Proactively partner with Commercial, Pricing, Finance, Market Analytics, and Business Insight teams to address business issues and deliver practical solutions through analytical problem-solving.Provide ad-hoc analytical support for various business needs.Identify and implement opportunities to optimize forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency through process improvements and adoption of best practices.Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal controls in all forecasting and reporting activities.Champion change management by encouraging adoption of new tools, systems, and methodologies, and providing training and support across teams.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 6 years combined experience in Commercial Finance, revenue forecasting, financial planning and analysis, cost accounting, auditing and financial reporting is required. Forecasting and prior pharmaceutical or consumer industry experience preferred.Must have strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with good interpersonal skills to effectively work with all levels of management.Agility to prioritize and quickly understand issues and assess data integrity is critical due to challenging deadlines.High level proficiency with Excel & PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP, BPC and PowerBi preferredAbility to work independently and self-starter, supporting the business and forecasting leadership in variety of locations.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced and matrixed environment Excellent communication and presentation skillsPrevious pharmaceutical and forecasting experience is preferred
