Key Responsibilities Account-Based Financial Management Serve as the dedicated finance resource for the assigned client account, managing all accounting and financial reporting activities. Act as the primary finance contact for client stakeholders, account leadership, and internal JLL finance teams. Develop comprehensive understanding of the client's financial requirements, reporting formats, billing procedures, and approval processes. Build strong relationships with client finance contacts, account managers, and operational teams. Ensure all financial activities comply with client-specific procedures, JLL policies, and accounting standards. Accounts Payable and Receivable Management Process and manage accounts payable for the client account including vendor invoice verification, coding, approval routing, and payment scheduling. Ensure timely processing of supplier invoices, resolving discrepancies and coordinating with procurement and operations teams. Prepare and issue client invoices accurately according to contract terms, service agreements, and billing schedules. Monitor accounts receivable aging, follow up on outstanding payments, and coordinate with clients on payment queries. Reconcile vendor statements and client accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly. Financial Reporting and Analysis Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the client including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and variance analysis. Generate customized financial dashboards and management reports tailored to client requirements and reporting templates. Conduct variance analysis comparing actual performance against budget, explaining deviations and identifying trends. Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by the client or account leadership. Present financial reports to clients and internal stakeholders, clearly explaining financial performance and key metrics. Budget Management and Forecasting Support annual budget preparation for the account by gathering inputs from operational teams and analyzing historical spending patterns. Monitor actual expenditure against approved budgets, tracking variances by cost center and category. Prepare monthly budget versus actual reports, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions. Assist with quarterly forecasting exercises, updating projections based on current trends and anticipated changes. Work with account managers to develop cost control measures and identify savings opportunities. Month-End and Year-End Closing Execute month-end closing activities for the account including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and account reconciliations. Review and validate all financial transactions for accuracy and proper account coding before closing the period. Coordinate with operational teams to ensure all revenue and expenses are captured and recorded in the correct period. Prepare month-end close checklists and ensure timely completion of all closing tasks. Support year-end audit processes by providing documentation, schedules, and explanations to auditors. Financial Controls and Compliance Maintain strong internal controls over financial transactions, ensuring proper authorization and documentation. Verify compliance with client contracts, service level agreements, and financial terms. Ensure adherence to JLL financial policies, procedures, and approval authorities. Maintain accurate and complete financial records and supporting documentation for audit purposes. Support internal and external audit activities by responding to audit queries and providing required documentation. Client Communication and Stakeholder Management Respond promptly to client finance queries regarding invoices, payments, financial reports, and account reconciliations. Provide regular financial updates to the client through formal reports and informal communications. Participate in client meetings, presenting financial performance and addressing concerns or feedback. Collaborate with account operational teams to understand service delivery and its financial impact. Coordinate with JLL shared services, accounts payable, and treasury teams on account-specific requirements. Cash Flow and Working Capital Management Monitor account cash flow, ensuring adequate funds for operational expenses and highlighting potential shortfalls. Track contract retentions, security deposits, and other working capital items specific to the account. Coordinate with clients on payment terms, advance payments, and cash call procedures per contract requirements. Prepare cash flow forecasts to support account planning and decision-making. Process Improvement and System Management Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency for the account. Implement best practices and standardized procedures to enhance accuracy and reduce processing time. Utilize financial systems effectively including ERP platforms, accounting software, and client-specific financial tools. Support system implementations, upgrades, or transitions affecting the account's financial operations. Maintain organized filing systems both physical and electronic for easy retrieval of financial documents. Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field. Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) in progress or partially completed is preferred. Experience 2-4 years of progressive finance and accounting experience in a client-facing or account-based role. Demonstrated experience managing complete finance operations for dedicated accounts or business units. Proven ability to prepare financial statements, management reports, and conduct financial analysis. Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting. Background in facilities management, property management, corporate services, or professional services sectors preferred. Track record of building effective client relationships and delivering high-quality finance support. Technical Skills Strong proficiency in accounting and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and financial modeling. Experience with financial reporting tools and ability to create dashboards and presentations. Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and management accounting concepts. Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes, three-way matching, and reconciliation procedures. Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis methodologies. Core Competencies Exceptional analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights. Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, reports, and reconciliations. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines, month-end activities, and competing priorities. Outstanding client service orientation with proactive communication and problem-solving approach. Professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interaction with clients and senior stakeholders. Ability to work independently as the dedicated finance resource while collaborating with broader account and finance teams. Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential financial information. Results-driven mindset focused on delivering accurate, timely financial information to support decision-making. Adaptability to manage evolving client requirements and changing business conditions. Preferred Qualifications Partial or completed professional accounting certification (CA Inter, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent). Experience supporting large corporate accounts or complex multi-site operations. Knowledge of financial controls, internal audit processes, and SOX compliance. Exposure to contract management and understanding of commercial terms in service agreements. Familiarity with industry-specific accounting practices in real estate, facilities management, or corporate services. Experience with financial consolidation across multiple entities or cost centers. Understanding of revenue recognition principles and expense allocation methodologies. Working Conditions Primary location may be at client site, JLL office, or hybrid arrangement depending on account requirements. Standard business hours with flexibility during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing periods. Regular interaction with client finance teams requiring professional presence and clear communication. Occasional travel to client facilities or JLL offices as needed for meetings or training. Key Performance Indicators Timeliness and accuracy of monthly financial reports and client deliverables. Invoice processing cycle time and payment collection efficiency. Budget variance management and forecast accuracy. Client satisfaction scores and feedback on finance support. Quality of financial analysis and actionable insights provided.
