Finance Director II - Weapons Systems
**Job Description** The BAE Systems finance organization is a trusted business partner delivering information and innovative solutions for decision-making to deliver quality products and capabilities to our customers and, ultimately, the warfighter. An experienced Program Finance Director is sought to join the BAE Systems Weapons Systems (WS) Finance Team. This position leads a large finance team supported by 4 finance managers who are experienced professionals supporting discrete lines of business in the WS organization across multiple sites. Primary contracts in the WS organization support Domestic and International Naval Guns, Submarine & Propulsor, VLS Canisters, and Advanced Munitions directorates. The WS organization is on a growth trajectory, and we are looking for an inspiring and engaging Finance Director to lead the team and drive cross-functional collaboration and support to all program team members. This position will be required to be on-site at a Combat Mission Systems location with flexibility to support a hybrid working schedule (3 required days on-site). Locations of consideration are Maple Grove, Minnesota; Sterling Heights, Michigan; Louisville, Kentucky; and York, Pennsylvania. Specific roles and responsibilities include: + Leverages experience to guide program finance managers through periods of rapid growth and complex programs + Works with the IPMT (Integrated Program Management Team) lead to identify process and tool improvements for the WS business + Develops strong team collaboration among program finance managers and CMS finance leaders + Ensures work product delivered to the CMS Finance Director has been reviewed and mistakes are minimized + Engages and collaborates with Product Line Directors to ensure finance team is meeting the needs of the business + Develops and maintain a strong pipeline of financial leaders + Acts as a conduit for the BS&S (Business Systems and Solutions) team to help drive priorities for finance processes, tools, training, and development + Develops, directs plans and forecasts, and analyzes financial performance on programs within the portfolio + Liaison for Program Management with FP&A and Accounting functions + Conducts program financial analyses to forecast and evaluate financial plans + Collects data on revenues, costs, investments, cash flow, and profits + Generates reports, performs analysis of trends, and assesses risks and opportunities **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience + Experience in Finance Management + Experience in Program Finance, Program Controls, and/or Earned Value Management System (EVMS) guidelines + Experience in People Management, including advising, training, and mentoring staff + Experience in a matrixed environment, interfacing with high-level internal and external leadership + Strong analytical skills in understanding technical, cost, and schedule requirements on proposals and programs + Self-motivated with a bias for action, process/results oriented + Ability to strategically approach financial planning and investment recommendations + Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment + Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse work teams + Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Ability to obtain a Security Clearance + Experience with project forecasting and analysis in a manufacturing and/or defense contracting environment + Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, including working in a semi-structured environment with the skill to develop and implement new processes and procedures + Ability to effectively communicate and work with both technical and non-technical staff + Change agent, drives process improvements + Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $157911 - $268449 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
