Finance Director
Description Robert Half is looking for an experienced Finance Director to lead and oversee financial operations for our organization in Maryville, Tennessee. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while ensuring compliance and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in process improvement, auditing, and system implementation. Responsibilities: • Lead the development and management of annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. • Oversee financial forecasting processes to provide accurate projections and recommendations. • Conduct cost analysis and variance analysis to identify trends and inform decision-making. • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards. • Manage auditing processes, including audit preparation and compliance with workers' compensation requirements. • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency. • Support mergers and acquisitions activities through financial due diligence and integration planning. • Oversee system implementation projects to streamline financial workflows and reporting. • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance. • Provide leadership and guidance during onboarding processes for new team members or systems. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting leadership roles. • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation. • Solid understanding of cost analysis, variance analysis, and KPI reporting. • Experience with auditing, audit preparation, and workers' compensation compliance. • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and system implementation initiatives. • Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions (M& A) activities, including financial integration. • Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational efficiency.
