The CDAO is also responsible for developing and implementing solutions that support the firm’s commercial goals by harnessing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to develop new products, improve productivity, and enhance risk management effectively and responsibly.
As a Data Owner in the Corporate Finance Chief Data Office (CDAO), you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing procedures that ensure data supports business operations, strategic objectives, and advanced analytics. Your day will involve collaborating with technology and business teams to define data requirements, describe data, maintain data quality, and address data risks. By leveraging your expertise, you will help drive data initiatives that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency across the organization. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a data-driven culture that supports the company's growth and innovation.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement operational procedures for delivering data to support business operations, strategic objectives, and advanced analyticsLeverage subject matter expertise and internal partnerships to define and document metadata and classifiers, ensuring understanding and effective use across business functionsSupport the implementation of data governance, data products, data publishing standards, and risk management processes under senior leadership guidanceDefine and document data requirements of key stakeholders to ensure understanding of data and its use across business and functionsExecute processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks throughout the data lifecycle, including protection, retention, storage, use, and qualityPartner with technology and business resources to ensure data sourcing, content, and quality meet established requirementsCollaborate with teams to investigate root causes of data issues and provide recommendations for remediationMentor and support junior staff in their professional development, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvementRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, OR equivalent professional experience in data management, data governance, or a related field3+ years of experience in data management, data governance, risk management / analytics, or a related fieldStrong understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data lifecycle management, including data protection, data quality and data classificationExperience in defining and documenting data requirements, metadata, and classifiersAbility to collaborate effectively with technology and business teams to ensure data quality and compliance with standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address data issuesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to convey data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, to effectively communicate data insightsFamiliarity with data governance tools and platformsExperience in a similar role within the same industry, providing insights into industry-specific data challengesExperience with cloud-based data platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
