C.H Robinson is seeking a Finance Continuous Improvement Manager who will be responsible for developing operational strategies that help achieve organizational excellence. The Continuous Improvement Manager will drive execution of strategic initiatives through a Continuous Improvement framework with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. This person will have experience in Lean or Six Sigma methodologies, strong change management capabilities, and proven success managing multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Continuously identify and remove waste, friction and frustration from operational processes and create mechanisms for pro-actively assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of processesBusiness Process Management (BPM) leadership of strategic initiatives that maximize customer value, increase operational efficiency, or increase volume throughputSupport implementation of operational strategy and planning in-line with business/function and enterprise strategiesWork with Analytics team to create or improve operational performance reports to provide insights to leadership and employees, monitor performance, workload, and resourcesDrive changes needed within systems through collaboration with technology and other related resources to advance processes and automationCollaborate with business partners across functions to ensure successful project implementation through the deployment of tools, processes, and personnelManage relationships and communication between internal and external project management resources, stakeholders, and senior managementMotivate team members and help create a culture of accountabilityCreate and execute on-going Continuous Improvement training, coaching and developmentEnsure office employees and leaders focus on operational effectiveness and efficiencyIdentify and stay current on industry trends and emerging market conditions related to organizational effectiveness, Continuous Improvement, and enabling technologiesEngineer processes to yield appropriate external service levels at appropriate costs while constantly optimizing resourcesOverall project delivery including coordinating and managing resources, ensuring effective change management, identifying, and mitigating risks, documenting processes, and communicating updates to a variety of stakeholdersCreate an analytical culture to improve decision-making and drive efficiency, quality, and profitabilityAct as a change agent as needed for project implementation to the organization to ensure continued project delivery success, including work with business partners to ensure essential document management and communications related to business activitiesIdentify and manage risks and mitigation plans, and work to manage logistics and activities while ensuring essential document management and communicationOther duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirementsRequired Qualifications:
6+ years of professional experience executing large, cross functional initiativesMinimum 3 years of experience using a continuous improvement framework within business operations such as Lean, Six Sigma or similarMinimum 3 years of project management experience.Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or universityPreferred Qualifications:
Certification in Lean, Six Sigma and/or related methodologiesExperience using business and data analytics to drive continuous improvementStrong change management capabilities with emphasis on team behavior changeExcellent planning and project management skills with strong ability to effectively manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneouslyThrive in an ambiguous work environment with minimal supervision and ability to make timely decisionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the appropriate audienceDemonstrated leadership in a matrix organization, influencing without authority, conflict resolution skills, and ability to motivate and inspire team members to high performance levelsWe will review applications for this role on an ongoing basis and encourage all interested candidates to apply at their earliest convenience.
Compensation Range
$89,800.00 - $151,800.00The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
