Finance Business Partner – Role Overview

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll play a critical role in shaping investment decisions and guiding leadership through data‑driven insights. This role goes far beyond traditional FP&A - you're a strategic advisor who connects financial performance with business outcomes.

You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning activities, build automated reporting solutions, and deliver meaningful analysis that influences resource allocation, investment prioritization, and long-term planning. You’ll also ensure compliance across procurement activities and partner closely with cross‑functional teams to align on goals and drive operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial PartnershipAct as the global Finance Business Partner overseeing budgeting, forecasting, P&L performance, and investment management (OPEX + headcount).Recommend resource allocation and prioritization strategies aligned to business objectives.Planning, Forecasting & Investment ManagementLead coordinated budget and forecast cycles across global, regional, and functional teams.Track investment execution, workforce planning, and business plan updates by business unit.Reporting, Automation & Data IntegrityBuild and enhance automated reporting models using Hyperion (SmartView) and corporate dashboards.Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of financial data across systems.Maintain documentation, reporting logic, and organizational hierarchy updates.Financial Analysis & Business InsightsDevelop and evaluate business cases; conduct scenario modeling, variance analysis, and ROI assessments.Provide clear executive‑level insights on performance trends, risks, and opportunities.Identify success metrics aligned with business priorities and advise leadership accordingly.Risk Management, Governance & Procurement SupportEnsure compliance with procurement policies, including requisitions, receiving, and month‑end close.Resolve reporting issues with global partners and promote best practices across teams.Required Skills & ExpertiseFP&A Leadership7+ years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, month‑end close, P&L management, and variance analysis.Analytical & Modeling ExcellenceStrong financial modeling capabilities with the ability to translate data into strategic insights for senior leaders.Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional InfluenceComfortable collaborating within a matrixed global organization; able to influence decisions across multiple groups.System ExpertiseAdvanced proficiency in Hyperion (SmartView) and enterprise dashboards (e.g., GEAR).Strong documentation, reporting, and data governance abilities.Procurement & Compliance KnowledgeFamiliarity with sourcing, requisitions, receiving, and compliance processes.Industry Experience (Preferred)Exposure to payments, Visa Direct, or SaaS/subscription‑based business models.Experience managing workforce planning and headcount analytics.Why This Role Matters

This is a Contract position based out of Foster City, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr.
