What the day will look like As a Finance Associate, you’ll play a pivotal role in coordinating and executing financial operations for captive (re)insurance clients. Your day will be varied and engaging, including: + Managing day-to-day administration and accounting duties. + Coordinating with various teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality service, ensuring all client service standards are met. + Serving as the main point of contact for major clients, brokers, loss adjusters, and solicitors. + Maintaining relationships with banking contacts, tax advisors, auditors, actuarial and risk management functions, and other third parties. + Handling documentation, correspondence, and calls efficiently and accurately. + Reviewing management accounts, management reports, regulatory reporting, and other client reporting requirements within set timeframes. + Managing clients’ banking requirements, including oversight of term deposit renewals and monitoring cash and liquidity needs. + Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts. + Implementing internal audit controls and ensuring legal compliance for managed clients. + Attending and presenting at Board Meetings as required. + Following office procedures and compliance protocols, especially regarding checklists, supporting information, and risk dashboards. Skills and experience that will lead to success ACCA or master’s in accountancy qualification (or equivalent). Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and IT skills. Proven experience in accounting or auditing from within the financial services industry Insurance accounting experience is preferred but not required.
