Job Title: Accounting Associate

Job Description

Assist the Finance Department team members with a variety of accounting and administrative functions.

Responsibilities

Assist with processing of invoice entries and other various accounts payable duties.Provide backup assistance to accounts payable for weekly check runs and associated reporting tasks.Assist the CFO with administrative matters involving bonds and insurance; request insurance certificates from insurance advisors; prepare and submit insurance applications for builder’s risk insurance and railroad protective insurance.Assist with force account accident insurance and at-fault claims for reimbursement.Perform additional assignments as directed by Senior Accountant or CFO.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, business, or equivalent experience required.Advanced math skills with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations and analysis quickly and accurately.Good problem analysis and problem resolution skills.Outstanding time management and organization skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Team-focused mindset to build strong working relationships.Strong investigation and follow-up skills; attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience processing hourly union payroll preferred.Proficiency with Viewpoint Vista is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is office-based, working closely with the assistant controller who reports directly to the CFO. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a growing company with a solid track record in construction, having been in business for over 100 years.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sharon Center, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
