We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join our Colombia Finance Team.
This role supports day-to-day finance operations, with a focus on coordinating tax outsourcing and performing account reconciliations and ensuring accurate payroll postings. The ideal candidate will apply fundamental financial principles, take ownership of assigned tasks, and work independently to help achieve operational goals.
This position is well-suited for someone with a strong interest in finance operations, who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment, and is currently pursuing or planning to pursue a professional finance qualification.
Responsibilities - You will do:
Review of National and District Magnetic Media reports in accordance with DIAN and local authorities’ regulations.
Management of the RADIAN platform for transmitting electronic invoices and supporting documents.
Timely completion and submission of DANE surveys as required.
Preparation and submission of the F10 report on foreign exchange obligations to the Bank of the Republic.
Recording of accounts payable, including verification of supporting documents and accurate account classification.
Execution of monthly accounting reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, taxes, and third-party accounts.
Assistance with monthly and annual accounting closings.
Posting and reconciling payroll transactions in the accounting system.
Coordination and communication with external tax outsourcing providers, ensuring accurate and timely submission of tax filings.
Support during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Collaboration with team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.
Maintenance of organized and up-to-date financial records.
Skills & Qualifications - You will have:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (A MUST)
3+ years of experience in similar roles
Solid understanding of basic accounting and financial principles.
Knowledge of bank operations and reconciliations.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision, and to take initiative in solving problems.
English proficiency - Intermediate
A PLUS:
Experience with ERP systems is a plus (e.g. Oracle, SAP).
