Finance Assistant - Tax

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
**Tax Compliance and Reporting**
+ Prepare accurate schedules and documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings in compliance with BIR and other regulatory requirements;
+ Ensure timely filing and payment of all tax returns and reports;
+ Monitor and maintain completeness of tax certificates from customers;
+ Assist in the review of tax computations prepared by external tax advisors;
+ Liaise with tax authorities and regulatory agencies regarding applications, filings, and inquiries.
**Regulatory Permits and Registrations**
+ Coordinate and process local and national permits, licenses, and registrations required for business operations;
+ Maintain updated records of all compliance-related documents and ensure timely renewals.
**Reporting and Reconciliations**
+ Prepare tax-related entries during month-end closing;
+ Ensure proper and complete documentation and accuracy of all tax entries in the accounting system;
+ Verify tax-related account balances by performing regular reconciliations of the tax general ledger;
+ Prepare and submit tax-related reports and analysis to Corporate.
**Audit and Compliance**
+ Provide support during internal and external tax audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation;
+ Assist external tax advisors in resolving tax issues;
+ Assist in implementing controls to mitigate tax-related risks and ensure compliance with evolving tax laws and rulings.
**Others**
+ Serve as back up for Treasury Analyst
SKILLS
+ Detail oriented with good analytical skills
+ Strong computer knowledge on Microsoft applications, e.g., Excel, Power Point and Word
+ Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision
+ Ability to interact effectively with representatives from different department and divisions as well as third party distributor representatives
+ Good business communication and interpersonal skills
