What you’ll be doing
As a Finance Analyst supporting the UK & International Naval programmes, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering accurate financial insights and management reporting that drive informed decision-making. Your work will directly influence programme performance by connecting financial data with operational realities, helping to forecast risks and opportunities effectively. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, you’ll translate complex numbers into clear, actionable stories that support business goals.
In this role you’ll be:
Preparing and posting management journals to ensure accurate reflection of financial performance
Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and operational drivers
Partnering with the programme management team to provide timely financial insights and support forecasting
Collaborating with other finance analysts and wider business teams to maintain data integrity and share best practices
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to streamline financial processes and reporting

Experience in financial analysis, ideally within a large or complex organisation
Strong ERP skills (ideally in SAP) and advanced Excel capabilities, with the ability to build insightful workbooks that go beyond basic formulas
Ability to explain numbers through operational context and partner effectively with stakeholders
Proactive mindset with excellent prioritisation and self-management skills to meet deadlines
Collaborative approach, able to work effectively within a team and challenge constructively
