What you'll do

You will play a crucial role in providing financial support to the Grocery Commercial Teams, including JS General Merchandising, partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure sound margin management and analytical support for one or more Categories within the Grocery Business Unit. Your responsibilities will include producing insightful analysis to support decision-making, engaging with both Finance and Non-Finance teams, and supporting on finance-led deliverables such as forecasting, budgeting, and trade commentary. Additionally, you will be instrumental in driving business performance through challenging ways of working, identifying risks and opportunities, and simplifying processes to enhance financial and commercial performance within the organisation.

Essential Criteria

Part Qualified / Qualified accountant – CIMA/ACCA/ACA Demonstrable proficiency in Excel and numerical analysis, including the ability to convert data into actionable insights Proven ability to communicate financial information effectively to senior stakeholders, both verbally and in writing Evidence of commercial awareness, with a track record of contributing to financial and business performance Experience in collaborative working, including building trusted relationships across departments or functions
