Finance Analyst
**Location:** 1301 Avenue of the Americas - New York, New York 10019 The Finance Analyst position will work in a cross-functional team focused on supporting Line of Business (LOB) Leadership in making data-driven decisions. The role will be responsible for supporting forecasts, planning processes, management reporting, and the business unit operational and risk analysis. The role will primarily include compiling and analyzing large, complex datasets to create timely, insightful deliverables. Additionally, the role will be responsible for documenting the processes and tools used to create deliverables. The Candidate must be a forward-thinking, self-starter with demonstrated experience in a large corporate setting and delivering innovative data solutions with limited direction. **Responsibilities** + Support Business Leadership, Relationship Managers, Underwriters, Asset Managers, and Syndication Fund Managers with ongoing requests, information gathering, and reporting needs. + Assist Data & BI Managers in coordinating with Key Technology and Model Risk Teams to ensure all CDLI tools conform to technical and risk best practices. + Support Business Leadership by creating/maintaining tools. Tools at CDLI are usually built using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python, Tableau, and/or Excel. Ideal candidates will be expected to be familiar with all these technologies, but all candidates must be familiar with at least 2. + Assist and manage monthly CDLI financial tools and reporting processes, including ad hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders, while providing analysis to leadership to aid in decision making. + Perform financial and operational analysis to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities within Business Teams. + Organize and document decision making processes across product and stage at CDLI, namely Originations, Underwriting, Asset Management, Fund Management, and Syndication if applicable – across debt and equity. + Own CDLI Documentation creation and maintenance. Documentation includes written materials for technical audience members and video based “demo” videos for non-technical users. + Lead requirement gathering and feedback conversations with Business Leadership to understand areas for organizational and technological enhancements. + Assist CDLI Business Teams in training new hires and non-technical users in existing/new processes and tools. + Perform independent research into best practices for data-driven decision-making processes and organizational efficiencies to apply on new and existing projects. + Assist Data & BI Managers in developing responsible LLM integration in new and existing projects. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, computer science, or statistics, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered. Master’s degree preferred. + 1-3 years of experience designing, testing, and delivering data tools. Experience can include direct development, training users, demonstrating system capabilities, and/or project management. + Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel with familiarity using XLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables. + Fluency with SQL and a scripting language, ideally Python or JavaScript. + Strong data visualization skills, ideally in Tableau or Power BI. + Demonstrated experience with public cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud). Familiarity with data warehouse, compute, and storage products as well as ELT/ETL paradigms preferred. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize conflicting demands and meet deadlines. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to function well in a team environment as well as work independently. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $80,000 to $110,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
