Position Summary

Essential functions of the Finance Accounting Manager:
Guide, train, and supervise the staff, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures, with an emphasis on proper transaction approval, safeguarding of assets, and segregation of dutiesPrepare accurate, complete and timely financial closesMaintain accurate general ledger transactions through journal entry review and periodic review of GL account coding from others within the companyMaintain accurate balance sheet accounts and amounts, ensuring proper reconciliations are completed on a timely and accurate basisAssisting the Director and budget managers in developing and monitoring departmental project, and organizational budgetsContinually seeking and implementing opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology including training staff to better utilize financial and accounting softwareManaging select administration activities, such as state unemployment and income tax registrations, and managing audit and tax requirementsOther duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications and Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or BusinessMinimum of 5 years of progressive experienceAt least 2 years of public accounting experience (audit) preferredCertifications: CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred; other advanced certifications also valuedTechnical Expertise:Strong grasp of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting principles effectivelyAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet creation, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data visualization.Hands-on experience with financial management systems such as OneStream, SAP, or Acumatica.Leadership & Collaboration:Proven ability to lead and develop teams to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual goalsExceptional interpersonal skills with a track record of working in multidisciplinary, diverse, and dynamic environmentsCommitment to mentoring others and fostering financial literacy that drives measurable impactAnalytical & Organizational Strengths:Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting with a strong sense of urgencyOutstanding time management and organizational skillsMeticulous attention to detail and a passion for accuracyCompensation and Benefits
The salary for this position is anticipated to be between $3,653.85 and $4,615.38 biweekly.
