Final Assembly - Sensor Assembler

**Job Description**
Due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full- time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
We are looking for a final assembly operator to support our 1st shift operations. The Assembly Operator will perform solder and/or hand assembly on a variety of circuit card assemblies and mechanical chassis.
Typical requirements for daily activities include:
+ Using appropriate tooling and machinery as provided, assembling electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, kits, and modules according to specific written instructions
+ Wiring subassemblies using wiring lists and diagrams.
+ Completing routing instructions and process sheets.
+ Verifying and inspecting products to ensure conformance to requirements and perform rework as needed.
+ Performing mechanical and electrical assembly operations to build electronic assemblies using standard measuring tools and techniques.
+ Following work order instructions, policies and procedures.
+ Performing soldering and inspection when/if certified.
+ Cross-training in other assembly positions, and performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
+ Participating and supporting continuous improvement activities to make the process more efficient.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Basic computer skills and typing ability
+ Mechanical assembly ability and/or experience
+ Focus on quality
+ Strong communication skills
+ Ability to pass a VAST (visual acuity test) is required
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Associate degree in a technical field
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially electrical assembly/circuit card manufacturing
+ Use of a software to track work in progress (WIP), quality, and inventory (Oracle, SAP, etc)
+ Lean six sigma training
+ Mechanical assembly experience of delicate parts
+ J-Standard / IPC-610 soldering experience
+ Wiring of circuit cards and connectors
+ Rework experience with conformal coating
+ Ability to hand solder to J-Standard / IPC-610 class 3 standards (training will be provided if needed)
+ Circuit card / mechanical assembly by hand
+ Rework experience with conformal coating
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $38041 - $60865
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
