Job Description

Position Summary

Join the Thermo Fisher Scientific family as a Filling Technician I in our outstanding Rockford manufacturing team. This role within the Formulation and Filling department offers you the opportunity to contribute to our world-class products and processes. Your responsibilities will include filling, labeling, and processing products, staging raw materials, cleaning laboratory hardware, off-loading automated filling lines, and providing support wherever needed. You'll primarily work within a cleanroom environment, ensuring flawless execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Perform filling operations according to established protocols and proceduresOperate an assortment of semi-automated and manual filling equipmentUse a variety of industrial equipment including fork trucks and pallet jacksMaintain a production environment by strictly following safety and quality guidelinesCollaborate with teams to determine and implement process improvementsComplete tasks on time and communicate progress efficientlyImplement standard operating procedures successfullyAccurately complete required manufacturing documentation under ISO9001 guidelines

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent experienceTeam-oriented approach in a collaborative environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocolsHighly motivated with a willingness to learn and developExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 poundsCapable of working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple responsibilitiesGood verbal and written communication skillsBasic knowledge of the metric systemAbility to wear personal protective equipment when required, including the potential use of a full-face respiratorHazardous Waste Generation/Management training required within the first 30 days and annual refresher training

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Illinois is $15.60–$23.40.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
