UW faculty and staff also enjoy outstanding benefits, professional growth opportunities and unique resources in an environment noted for diversity, intellectual excitement, artistic pursuits, and natural beauty. **The School of Art + Art History + Design, in the College of Arts and Sciences, has an outstanding opportunity for a Figure Model supporting the Division of Art, primarily the Painting + Drawing Program.** This individual will work with the Administrative Services Coordinator and course instructors to serve as a figure model for classes or individual faculty research. Figure models will be employed for sessions on an as-needed and availability determined basis. The Administrative Services Coordinator contacts figure models for availability for sessions determined by the course instructor. If the figure model is confirmed for a session, they will be present and model for the entirety of the class session. The person in this position is expected to foster effective and positive communication and job performance with all these constituents. This position provides opportunities to work in a creative, diverse and rewarding environment. The person in this role will perform the following job duties: **Key Responsibilities** + Arrive to scheduled session on time + Pose for session as scheduled + Ability to maintain statice pose for up to 30 minutes at a time + Ability to sit, stand, stoop, lie down + Communicate with and follow directions from course instructor + Communicate with the Administrative Services Coordinator on availability for sessions + Provide necessary materials (such as images, self-evaluations, or personal statements) to the Administrative Services Coordinator when asked **Required Qualifications** To be considered for this opportunity your application must demonstrate you meet both the minimum qualifications and any additional requirements listed below. **_Minimum Qualifications_** + Demonstrate ability to hold a variety of poses + Demonstrate ability to hold a static pose for up to 30 minutes + Ability to communicate effectively digitally and orally + Ability to work with the course instructor to perform duties with a high degree of relatability and accuracy + Two images demonstrating modeling ability + Three references **Preferred Qualifications** + Previous experience in figure modeling Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. **Working Conditions** This is a temporary hourly position with hours determined by needs and availability.
