Textron Systems - ATAC provides tactical flight training and adversary aggressor services for U.S. Navy, Marine and Air Force pilots. ATAC operates simultaneously across eight sites and two continents and comprises the world’s largest outsourced civilian, tactical airborne training organization and proudly provides the highest quality live training to Squadrons, Air Wings, and Battle Groups.

Job Summary

Fly the Dassault Mirage F1 in regular support of U.S. Air Force training and readiness missions. Fly in support of 5th Generation Fighter operational and conversion syllabus and continuation training missions. Support large force employment missions.Air Force Contract: Conduct flight operations from Luke AFB or deployed locations. Deploy as required to various locations.Job ResponsibilitiesEmploy the ATAC fighter aircraft throughout their flight envelope as a surrogate Adversary for USAF aircrew or large force employment exercise.Maintain FAA instrument currency, First Class medical certification, adversary mission qualifications and associated mission currencies, to include low level, dynamic mission, and unlimited air combat tactics maneuvering in the high-G environment.Attend mass briefings, adversary coordination briefings and other pre-flight briefings. Plan and fly adversary missions. Accomplish flight debriefings and attend mass debriefings.Adhere to all training rules and pre-briefed maneuvering restrictions.Collect and disseminate lessons learned.Accomplish necessary ground training prior to flights.Deploy as required to support mission requirements.Additional Duties: Act as, or support the individual responsible for, pilot Scheduling, Training, Standards Evaluation, Safety, or other Program Management duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Previously DoD Tactically Trained Fighter PilotPreviously qualified 4-Ship/Division Flight Lead700 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) of any fixed wing DOD-owned/operated fighter aircraft100 hours PIC at nightLogged 100 hours PIC time in the past 12 monthsCurrent FAA First Class Medical CertificateFAA Commercial or ATP, Airplane Single Engine Land PrivilegesSecret Security Clearance, US CitizenSpecific Air Force Contract Qualifications1200 hours total PIC of a tactical military aircraftCurrent in a tactical fighter aircraft within the last 5 yearsDesired QualificationsUSAF WIC graduate, USAF adversary qualificationUSNFWS/NAWDC/TOPGUN graduateTPS graduateDoD military Instructor Pilot qualificationMission Commander qualificationMilitary or Civilian Flight Examiner qualificationFunctional Check Flight Pilot qualificationNVG Instructor, CRM InstructorFAA CFI(I) CertificateFamiliarization with DoD Commercial Air Services industryFAA Authorized Experimental Aircraft (AEA) privilegesDoD Safety School or Board President Course graduateSquadron Command experienceActive fighter flyingActively flying
