Job Title: Field Test Engineer
Job Description

This role involves conducting hardware testing and field operations, as well as servicing equipment to ensure optimal functionality. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently in diverse environments.

ResponsibilitiesTransport and replace equipment as needed.Conduct internal testing for engineering requirements.Create daily reports on tickets and schedule preventative maintenance visits.Execute Linux commands to gather debug information when necessary.Identify root causes of problems and perform repairs.Schedule visits during operating hours.Provide customer support including troubleshooting and quick response site visits when required.Essential SkillsProficient in software and hardware testing.Ability to troubleshoot and debug effectively.Experience with Linux commands and systems.Mechanical and electrical knowledge.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to troubleshoot field issues and improvise solutions.Competent in taking detailed notes and following a ticketing system.Assertive in identifying and reporting issues.Capability to drive a full-sized van and handle physical tasks such as lifting 40 pounds.Mechanical inclination and team-oriented mindset.Strong communication skills.Flexible schedule and willingness to travel within a 30-mile range for repairs and maintenance.Ability to perform live equipment demonstrations to various audience sizes.Must meet federal requirements for school clearances, including fingerprinting.Work Environment

The role involves field work to test robots under various conditions outdoors throughout all seasons. Candidates must be comfortable working outside and dealing with the challenges of different weather conditions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
